The first photo taken from space by a man in Earth’s orbit. Photo by Major Gherman Stepanovich Titov aboard Vostok II on August 6-7, 1961.

Titov, the second man to orbit the earth was the first man to take a picture and film from space. Gagarin did not take a camera with him on the first spaceflight, so Titov was the first photographer and first cinematographer of the cosmos.
